Gorge Regional Telecommunications Plan
The
Gorge Telecom Plan inventories existing telecommunications services
in the
region and identifies specific telecommunication marketing and implementation
strategies necessary to spur desired growth and development in the
four-county Gorge
Region. Products resulting from the study include this summary as
part of a full-length
report and this new website designed to market the abundance of
telecommunications services and opportunities within the region,
including Skamania
and Klickitat counties, Washington and Hood River and Wasco counties,
Oregon.
Project
Elements and Process
The Gorge Telecom Plan was developed under a seven-month work plan
guided by
the Gorge Teleconsortium, a diverse group representing economic
and workforce
development, education, health care, cooperatives, telecommunications
service
providers, native Americans and private business. Primary work plan
elements include:
